We will contact you to discuss any alternations to your appointment within salon hours.

Prices are intended as a guide only. You will be charged for the services you receive, which may differ from the services you have booked.

Bookings made online may need to be slightly amended to fit in with salon time slots and stylists’ commitments. Please ensure that we have a current contact phone number for you (preferably a cellphone).

If you are unable to find the availability that you are looking for, do not worry, just give us a ring during salon hours.

ONLINE OR TELEPHONIC QUOTES

Whilst we endeavour to provide accurate quotes for all services over the phone and online, prices may vary following personal consultation with the stylist during a face-to-face consultation process if required.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Available in-salon for all services but it cannot be exchanged for cash.

PAYMENT METHODS

Cash, Visa, Mastercard, SnapScan and by arrangement EFT.

No American Express or Diners Club.

Prices are subject to change without notice (just like the weather in Cape Town).

CANCELLATION POLICY

Appointments that are cancelled at short notice or clients that are a NO SHOW cause inconvenience to other clients, loss of revenue to the salon and earnings to the stylist.

To best utilise appointment times for all clients we need at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. We do understand and will try to accommodate if less than 24 hours’ notice.

This also applies to drastic appointment changes on the service you are booked in for – so, if you are booked in for a long service and you change your mind and do not want it done anymore, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment time.

We reserve the right to cancel a pre-booked appointment with up to 24 hours’ notice before the day of an appointment or shorter subject to an exceptional circumstance, such as staff illness/absence or emergency, etc.

REFUND POLICY

We do not offer any refunds for completed services or products purchased.

CHEMICAL SERVICE DISCLAIMER

We always do a complete consultation and take every step necessary to ensure your safety and the best possible results.

While we are confident in our knowledge and experience, sometimes the unexpected can happen. We can’t ask questions regarding every possible circumstance that could result in an unwanted outcome.

Therefore, please inform your stylist if you have well / borehole water, have been swimming or exposed to chlorine, used any type of natural hair colour (henna), started a new medication or diet, or anything else that might affect the outcome of your colour.

Hair colour and hair lighteners along with other chemicals that we may use on your hair can react with any other type of chemical or metal agent that may be present in your hair. If in doubt, mention it!

While we adhere to strict guidelines concerning colour, lighteners, and chemicals, we cannot foresee every possible outcome. If you are not forthcoming about what may be on your hair it’s possible you could experience anything from hair breakage, chemical burns and undesired color results.

We will do our very best to ensure you leave with beautiful, healthy hair each time you leave our salon!

All stylists strive to ensure our client’s happiness and satisfaction. Stylists have been added to the team based on their experience and higher education and knowledge.

A disclaimer form will be signed at the time of appointment.

APPOINTMENT TIMES & LATE ARRIVALS

To ensure the promptness of all appointments, we reserve the right to reschedule any appointment that is 15 minutes late or later to any other convenient time.

NO-SHOWS

We do not take kindly to NO-SHOWS as this costs us money, hence we will charge you 100%* on your next visit. YES, 100%.

  • All fees are subject to the discretion of the attending stylist.

REMINDER SERVICE

We offer an SMS reminder service, so please do reply to our number if you are unable to attend the appointment.

  • This service is only manned during office hours.

CHILDREN

As a courtesy to other salon guests, and in our efforts to offer a relaxed and professional atmosphere we ask that you are aware that it is your responsibility to watch your children at all times while in the salon. This is also in the interest of their safety.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

All personal items remain the responsibility of the client whilst in Chop Shop.

PRIVACY POLICY

We will treat all your personal information as confidential.

Please note that when making an appointment (telephonically, online or otherwise), the information you provide will be collected and stored via the third-party tool we use to facilitate bookings. But again, we do our utmost to protect the information you provide and use it purely to manage your appointments.
